Mayflower Gulch hike! Join Marc and Rebecca Warshawsky on June 23 at 9 am to hike Mayflower Gulch! We will meet in the parking lot. Furry friends are invited. Bring water, and whatever suits you for the hike. Beautiful views and old abandoned mining shacks compliment this hike.

Hike with Rabbi Ruthie up Hunters Knob. Meeting at Margaret Gilbert's Residence (parking in the driveway and along the road). This is an easy 1.5 mile hike each way to a beautiful 360 degree vista. Granola Bars will be provided. Please RSVP.

Havdalah, Education, & Pizza with Rabbi Ruthie at the Breckenridge Library (103 South Harris Street, side entrance to downstairs). The topic will be "The Shmatte Business". The Yiddish Word of Polish provenance has taken on many meanings in Jewish Life. Rabbi will discuss how many of the Eastern European Jews at the turn of the 19th century entered into the garment industry. There were famous industrialists, ambitious sweatshop bosses, humble cutters and pressers, as well as wholesalers and retailers in every corner of the "shmatte business", as the entire industry came to be known.
