Frisco Senior Center, 83 Nancy's Place, Frisco, CO/Various Locations around County
It’s time once again for Synagogue of the Summit to repair the world in Summit County. For those who may not be familiar with Mitzvah Day, we will come together as a congregation on Sunday, June 26th and venture out into the community to support four local non-profits through a variety of service projects. These usually involve outdoor activities. We come together, divide up into pre-determined teams and for three or four hours on a Sunday morning, practice Tikkun Olam.
Everyone involved will receive an official 2022 SOS Mitzvah Day T-shirt. This year, we are honoring Ukraine wearing the colors of their flag.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 26th. We will meet at the Senior Center in Frisco at 8:00am for bagels, donuts, juice and coffee (and of course a little schmoozing). Then at 9:00am, our four Team Leaders will mobilize each group to their respective projects. Stay tuned for more information about this year’s projects. We are finalizing them now.
Please contact Mitzvah Day Coordinators Jonathan Knopf or Amy Somers for more information or to volunteer as a team leader.
Please REGISTER below and indicate your Shirt Size in the Notes Section.

The Interfaith Council, of which SOS is a member, is sponsoring twice monthly non-religious meditation sits at the Senior Center in Frisco. Coming together for shared meditation among different faiths and spiritual practices can build bonds and promote dialogue among people of different traditions. In addition, shared practices can be a way to educate ourselves and broaden our understanding of other spiritually based organizations. All of these things can benefit not only individuals involved, but the whole community. Rebecca Warshawsky of SOS, along with Diane Ryan and Pat McShane will alternate the meditations.
