Black Powder Pass Summit Trail
Experience this 3.4-mile out-and-back trail near Breckenridge, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 hours and 1 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The best times to visit this trail are June through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
Where to meet: We'll meet in the parking lot at the trailhead. It's easy to get there and actually quite a beautiful drive. Take Boreas Pass rd to the end; the road continues on a dirt road. Take the dirt road for approximately 5 miles which will take you to the parking lot for the trailhead. It is also the continental divide.
